After an accident, your insurer may suggest one of their preferred repairers. In NSW you can ask to use a repairer you trust instead, and many policies include choice of repairer.

Common questions
Do I have to use my insurer’s preferred repairer?
Not necessarily. Many policies let you choose your own repairer. Check your policy wording or ask your insurer. If you have choice of repairer, just tell them you want Bailey Smash Repairs.
Will my insurer still pay if I choose Bailey?
If your policy includes choice of repairer, your insurer assesses the damage and approves the repair cost with us in the usual way.
Do I need to pay an excess?
Your policy excess usually applies when you claim on your own insurance. If another driver was at fault, you may not need to pay it. See our not-at-fault page.
Who deals with the insurance assessor?
We do. We arrange the assessment, discuss the repair method and any extra damage found once the car is stripped down, and get approval before we continue.
